The second appearance needed
a new reason to matter.

The second appearance needed
a new reason to matter.

Earlier that year, we had worked with GeoScan Technology and Eso Terra to shape their shared presence at AFNIS. Nigeria Mining Week was a smaller, more focused event, with an audience closer to the everyday business of mining and mineral development.

This was not a case of taking the same booth and scaling it down. The setting had changed, the audience was more specialised and the companies needed a sharper reason to be there.

By this point, Velikan understood how both businesses worked and how they needed to be seen. We carried the project from the commercial idea through the messaging, shared brand presence, exhibition design, event communications and content production.

The work moved through the villa and across the property. Mowers were filmed outdoors. Pool robots took the cameras underwater. Other products brought the crew inside the villa, out into direct sun and up onto the roof.

That variety mattered because the job was bigger than making each product look good. Netzwelt's audience needed to understand how it worked, what separated it from others in its category and how it held up in use.

A strong booth could attract attention. What happened after someone stopped mattered more.

Working closely with the GeoScan Technology team, we developed a limited-time offer for preliminary reports on mineral assets.

Technical expertise does not lend itself to discount language. The offer needed to give asset owners a worthwhile reason to act without reducing serious assessment work to a bargain.

We focused the proposition on access and timing, not reduced value. It gave prospective clients a clear first step into understanding an asset while preserving the credibility of the work behind it.

The offer felt worth acting on without making the expertise feel worth less.

Prospect to production, mine to market

One offer could begin a conversation, but it could not carry the entire story.

For Mining Week, we also advanced the “Prospect to Production, Mine to Market” pipeline as a clearer way to explain how GeoScan Technology and Eso Terra could contribute across the development of a mineral asset.

Instead of presenting visitors with two separate lists of services, the pipeline showed movement: from understanding what an asset holds to developing it, producing from it and finding a route to market.

It made the relationship between the companies easier to understand without pretending they were the same business.

GeoScan Technology and Eso Terra each had their own identity, visual language and tagline. Placing both on one stand could easily have looked like two companies sharing square footage without truly speaking to each other.

We designed the booth so that both brands could remain recognisably themselves while still reading as one considered presence.

The taglines did real work. We used them where the idea behind one company could lead naturally into the other, creating a relationship across the space rather than simply placing two sets of branding side by side.

Colour, hierarchy, messaging and placement helped the identities sit together without forcing an artificial merger. Neither brand dominated the environment, and neither became an afterthought.

The same thinking carried through the offer presentation, exhibition materials and event communications.

Netzwelt's editorial judgement led each

film. We worked closely with its team on

what each video needed to show, then

recorded the spoken reviews separately

and paired them with the footage in post.

The finished set included individual product

reviews and category comparison videos.

The reviews gave each product room.

The comparison films put the differences

side by side.

Keeping what had already earned its place

The week around
the work

Keeping what had already earned its place

We did not start again for the sake of appearing new.

Some elements of the AFNIS presence had worked particularly well, so we kept them. Others were refined and rebuilt around a smaller stand, a more specialised audience and a more direct commercial objective.

People who had encountered GeoScan Technology and Eso Terra at AFNIS could recognise the relationship. What they met at Mining Week, however, had its own proposition and its own reason for being there.

The work felt connected, not recycled.

One aftermovie captured everything happening around the reviews: editors moving between products, crews preparing the next setup and Lake Garda holding the production together. It gave Netzwelt one film for Testweek itself, without turning the location into a travel ad.

Ahead of AFNIS, we had interviewed the leadership of GeoScan Technology and Eso Terra. Those conversations helped establish the expertise, direction and ambition behind both companies.

At Mining Week, we wanted to hear from people closer to the everyday work.

Alongside documenting the exhibition, capturing highlights and producing content throughout the event, we spoke with people who work with GeoScan Technology and Eso Terra regularly.

Their perspectives brought another layer to the brand story. They spoke from direct experience of the teams, the work and the relationship between the two businesses.

The result was less of a formal company overview and more of a sense of what the organisationsare actually like from the inside.

The work behind the presence

Velikan’s role covered the full participation.

We developed the limited-time offer and shaped how it would be presented. We advanced the mine-to-market story, resolved how both brand identities would share the environment, designedthe booth and supporting materials, planned the communications and produced the film, photography, interviews and event coverage around it.

Because the engagement was handled as one piece of work, the commercial proposition, physical environment and content all supported the same story.

Nigeria Mining Week followed AFNIS, but it did not repeat it. It gave GeoScan Technology and Eso Terra a more focused commercial presence, built for a more specialised audience and carried through every part of how they appeared.
